34-year-old contractor Mesrop Grigoryan, who died of gunshot wound in the preservation area of one of the RA Ministry of Defense military units, was from SOS children’s village in Kotayk province. Karen Mnatsakanyan, head of Kotayk village, told NEWS.am.
He mentioned that the serviceman grew up in the orphanage, had a sister and brother, but lived in Khachik village of Vayots Dzor region.
Speaking to Armenian News-NEWS.am, Lieutenant Colonel Babken Kurghinyan, Kotayk Military Commissar, said that Grigoryan had served in the armed forces for a long time and then stopped the service. 2018 In October, he signed a new contract to continue the service at the Armed Forces.
Earlier we reported that a soldier, contractor Mesrop Rubik Grigoryan, died of a gunshot wound on February 11, at one of the military units of the Armenian Armed Forces. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the case.
